Cussonia paniculata subsp. sinuata, commonly called the Mountain Cabbage Tree, is a striking small tree native to South Africa. It is prized for its unique, sculptural form and deeply lobed, leathery grey-green leaves that give a bold, architectural look to any garden.
This subspecies has slightly more wavy (sinuate) leaf margins, giving it an even more dramatic appearance compared to the typical Cussonia paniculata. The tree has a thick, corky trunk that stores water, making it highly drought-tolerant and perfectly suited to dry or low-maintenance landscapes.

Beautiful and very unique plant. The caudex had 2 parts so I added a stone in between - making it even more striking. The leaves looks very different from your photo's. I love the blue green colour it's still unfurling from beingpackaged.
