Sempervivum 'Marlands Beauty'

Sempervivum 'Marlands Beauty' is a striking hardy succulent admired for its colourful rosettes that develop beautiful shades of green, red and burgundy throughout the seasons. Its compact growth makes it an excellent choice for containers, rock gardens, succulent bowls and outdoor displays.

Like other Hen and Chicks succulents, this variety produces offsets around the main rosette, gradually forming attractive clumps over time. The changing foliage colours become more vibrant with bright light and cooler temperatures, adding year-round interest to any succulent collection. Its hardy nature and low maintenance requirements make it suitable for both beginners and experienced growers.

Care Guide

Light

Thrives in full sun to bright light. In very hot Australian summers, some afternoon protection may help prevent excessive stress.

Watering

Allow the potting mix to dry between waterings. Water sparingly during winter and avoid leaving the plant sitting in water.

Soil

Plant in a free-draining cactus or succulent mix to promote healthy root growth.

Temperature

Well suited to a wide range of climates and can tolerate cold conditions better than many succulents. Protect from prolonged waterlogging and extreme frost.

Fertiliser

Feed lightly during spring and summer with a diluted succulent fertiliser if required.
