Oncidium Aloha Iwanaga is a popular hybrid orchid admired for its masses of bright golden-yellow flowers and dependable flowering habit. Perfect for a bright indoor position or sheltered patio, this elegant orchid brings cheerful colour and lasting appeal to any plant collection.

Its arching flower spikes carry numerous vibrant blooms that create a spectacular display when in flower. Care

Light

Grow in a bright position with filtered light or gentle morning sun. Avoid prolonged exposure to harsh afternoon sun.

Water

Water thoroughly when the orchid mix begins to dry slightly. Allow excess water to drain freely and reduce watering during cooler months.

Growing Medium

Use a premium orchid bark mix that provides excellent drainage and airflow around the roots.

Temperature

Prefers warm to mild Australian conditions and should be protected from frost.

Fertiliser

Feed with a balanced orchid fertiliser during the active growing season, following the manufacturer's directions.

Good to know

Mature plants can produce multiple branching flower spikes under suitable growing conditions. Removing spent flower spikes and maintaining consistent care can help encourage healthy future growth and flowering.
