Fittonia tiger | Stylish Indoor Plant

Fittonia tiger is valued for its distinctive foliage and compact growth habit. The leaves provide an eye-catching display that works well alongside other indoor plants, particularly where a splash of patterned foliage is wanted.

It is well suited to plant lovers looking for a decorative foliage plant for an indoor shelf, tabletop or other protected position. A bright position with filtered light can help maintain healthy foliage while avoiding harsh direct sun.

Care

Light
Place in bright, filtered light. Protect the foliage from strong direct afternoon sun, which can cause leaf damage.

Watering
Keep the growing medium lightly and evenly moist, but avoid allowing the plant to remain waterlogged. Check the growing medium before watering.

Humidity
Fittonia tiger can appreciate a more humid environment. In drier Australian homes, placing it near other plants can help create a slightly more humid microclimate.

Temperature
Keep it in a warm, protected position away from cold draughts and sudden temperature changes.

Placement
An indoor shelf, tabletop or bright bathroom with suitable natural light can be a good option.

Good to know

Like many decorative foliage plants, Fittonia tiger may respond to changes in moisture and environment after transport. Give it time to settle into its new position and maintain consistent care.
