Botanical Name: Myrtillocactus geometrizans 'Fukurokuryuzinboku'
Common Name: Blue Boobs Cactus, Booby Cactus, Fukurokuryuzinboku
Growth Habit: Columnar cactus with uniquely swollen ribs, often resembling a series of "boobs"

Why It’s So Unique:

  • A rare and highly collectible cactus, prized for its unusual, plump ribbed structure that gives the plant its playful nickname

  • Glaucous blue-green skin with a waxy bloom, adding to its sculptural, surreal beauty

  • Slow-growing and long-lived, making it a statement piece in any cactus or succulent collection

  • Can reach impressive heights in the right conditions while maintaining its distinctive lumpy texture

Care Guide:

  • Light: Requires full sun to partial shade; full sun enhances blue coloration

  • Water: Very drought-tolerant; allow soil to dry completely between waterings

  • Soil: Gritty, well-draining cactus mix

  • Temperature: Prefers warm conditions; protect from frost or prolonged cold (ideal above 10°C)

  • Fertiliser: Use a diluted cactus fertiliser once a month during active growing season (spring-summer)

Size:

  • Typically grows slowly to 1–2 meters tall over many years in ideal conditions

  • Can remain compact in pots for years

Special Features:

  • Rare mutation of the more common Myrtillocactus geometrizans

  • Produces small white flowers and edible blue fruits in maturity

  • Each plant is uniquely shaped – no two are alike

Perfect For:

  • Collectors of rare and odd-shaped succulents and cacti

  • Indoor or outdoor cactus displays, modern landscapes, and conversation-starting container gardens

The succulent plant housed in the black pot comes in a 130mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, but may vary slightly because no two succulents are the same.
