Gymnocalycium Netrelianum, also known as the Spider Cactus or Chin Cactus, is a captivating and relatively rare species of cactus native to Argentina. Known for its solitary, globular growth and striking flowers, it is a popular choice among cactus enthusiasts and collectors who appreciate its modest size and ornamental appeal.
Growth Habit: This solitary cactus usually stays as a single stem, reaching a diameter of approximately 2-4 inches at maturity. Its globe-shaped body is ribbed and features prominent, rounded tubercles adorned with clusters of short, yellowish-brown spines that radiate outward like spider legs.
Flowers: One of the most attractive features of Gymnocalycium Netrelianum is its exquisite flowers. Typically blooming in the spring or summer, it produces large, funnel-shaped flowers in shades of pink, often with a darker pink throat.
Care Requirements: This cactus is relatively easy to care for, making it an excellent choice for novice and experienced succulent growers alike. It thrives in well-draining soil with good airflow and prefers bright, indirect sunlight.
The succulent plant housed in the red pot comes in a 80mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, but may vary slightly because no two succulents are the same.
