Pothos Jade

Epipremnum aureum 'Jade', commonly known as Pothos Jade, is a classic indoor plant loved for its lush, deep green foliage and easy-care nature. Its trailing vines make it an excellent choice for hanging baskets, shelves, plant stands, or allowing it to climb a moss pole in bright indoor spaces.

Unlike variegated pothos varieties, Pothos Jade features rich, solid green heart-shaped leaves that create a full and vibrant display. It is a fast-growing tropical plant that adapts well to a range of indoor environments, making it an excellent option for beginners as well as experienced plant enthusiasts. Its attractive trailing habit brings a fresh, natural look to homes and offices throughout the year.

Care

Light

Prefers bright, indirect light but will also tolerate lower light conditions. Avoid prolonged exposure to harsh direct afternoon sun.

Water

Water when the top few centimetres of the potting mix feel dry. Reduce watering during cooler months and avoid leaving the plant sitting in water.

Soil

Use a premium, well-draining indoor plant mix that retains some moisture while allowing excess water to drain freely.

Temperature

Thrives in warm indoor conditions and should be protected from frost and cold drafts.

Humidity

Enjoys moderate humidity but adapts well to typical indoor environments.

Fertiliser

Apply a balanced liquid fertiliser every four to six weeks during spring and summer to support healthy growth.

Good to know

Pothos Jade is an excellent choice for beginners due to its adaptability and vigorous growth. It can be pruned to maintain a compact shape or encouraged to trail or climb for a larger display. As with other Epipremnum varieties, this plant is considered toxic if ingested and should be kept out of reach of pets and children.
