Bl. Hawaii Stars ‘Only You’

Bl. Hawaii Stars ‘Only You’ is a Cattleya alliance orchid known for its large, star-shaped blooms and vibrant colouring. It works well as a feature plant on a bright indoor windowsill or sheltered patio.

This hybrid produces striking flowers with pointed petals and rich pink to magenta tones, often with a contrasting lip. Like many Brassolaeliocattleya types, it grows in a clumping form with pseudobulbs and thick leaves. Growers often choose this orchid for its bold flower size and occasional fragrance, though flowering can depend on light and conditions.

This has been grown in a standard orchid nursery pot, so that size is a good guide if you’re picking a pot for home. We usually ship bare root for freshness and to keep costs low, but we’re happy to pot your plant on request!

Care

Light
Prefers bright, filtered light. Some gentle morning sun is fine, but avoid harsh afternoon exposure.

Water
Allow the potting mix to dry slightly between watering. Avoid constantly wet roots.

Humidity & Airflow
Benefits from good airflow and moderate humidity. Avoid stagnant conditions.

Temperature
Prefers warm to mild temperatures. Protect from cold drafts and frost.

Feeding
Use a diluted orchid fertiliser during active growth.
