Add a touch of silvery elegance to your plant collection with Senecio scaposus, a unique succulent native to South Africa’s arid regions. Known for its striking, silvery-white coating that protects it from harsh sunlight, this plant is both eye-catching and easy to grow. Its compact rosettes of cylindrical leaves create a charming, coral-like appearance, making it perfect for containers, rock gardens, or mixed succulent arrangements.

Special Characteristics:

  • Distinctive Foliage: Covered in a fine, white woolly coating that gives a frosted look.

  • Compact Growth: Typically grows in tight clumps, ideal for small spaces.

  • Drought Tolerant: Thrives with minimal watering.

  • Seasonal Interest: Produces small yellow daisy-like flowers in spring or summer.

Growth Habit:

  • Low-growing, clumping succulent.

  • Mature height: around 10–15 cm.

  • Spread: up to 20 cm.

Care Tips:

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight or morning sun. Protect from harsh afternoon heat.

  • Water: Water sparingly; allow soil to dry completely between waterings.

  • Soil: Use a well-draining succulent or cactus mix.

  • Temperature: Frost-sensitive; keep above 5°C.

  • Fertiliser: Light feeding during active growth in spring and summer.

The succulent plant housed in the red pot comes in a 130mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, but may vary slightly because no two succulents are the same.
