Operculicarya decaryi, also known as the Elephant Tree, is a rare and exotic succulent bonsai native to Madagascar. It is admired for its thick, gnarled trunk, intricate branching structure, and fine, fern-like leaves that create a dramatic miniature tree appearance.

This drought-tolerant deciduous plant is popular among bonsai and caudiciform enthusiasts for its rugged texture and architectural form.
