Euphorbia trigona ‘Purpurea’, commonly known as the Royal Red African Milk Tree, is a stunning succulent featuring upright, triangular stems with deep purple to burgundy hues. Its bold coloration and architectural form make it a striking focal point for indoor spaces, patios, or succulent collections.

This drought-tolerant plant is easy to care for and thrives in bright light, adding vibrant color and texture to your home or garden with minimal maintenance.

Care Tips:

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to full sun. The deeper purple hues develop best with ample sunlight.

  • Water: Water moderately during the growing season; allow soil to dry completely between waterings. Reduce watering in winter.

  • Soil: Use a well-draining cactus or succulent mix.

  • Temperature: Thrives in warm conditions (above 15°C/59°F). Protect from frost and cold drafts.

  • Fertiliser: Feed lightly during the growing season with diluted succulent or cactus fertilizer.

  • Handling: Sap is toxic and can cause irritation; handle with care and avoid skin or eye contact.
