Euphorbia flanaganii — Medusa’s Head
A Rare Caudex Succulent of Mythic Form
Introduce a true conversation piece to your collection with Euphorbia flanaganii, widely known as Medusa’s Head. This extraordinary caudiciform succulent forms a distinctive central caudex from which a dramatic crown of radiating, serpent-like stems emerges—an arresting natural display that lives up to its legendary name.
Native to South Africa, this species combines bold sculptural presence with impressive resilience. Its vivid green arms spread in near-perfect symmetry, creating a dynamic sense of movement and depth. Despite its exotic appearance, Euphorbia flanaganii is remarkably easy to care for, thriving in bright light and free-draining soil. It adapts beautifully to containers, rock gardens, and indoor displays, making it equally appealing to beginners and seasoned collectors.
In warmer months, mature specimens may reward attentive growers with small, yellow blooms, offering a subtle yet striking contrast to the plant’s architectural form.

Love the Euphorbia Flanaganii, Medusa's head. Also very rare.A lovely sculpture plant. Will orderagain
4 out of 5 of them are doing well in pots at the moment. Will transfer them out into garden.
I didn't give any water to the Graptosdem as suggested at planting. It is very happy and multiplying its leaves. Gave it a little water now...
Unfortunately the sedum golden rice seedling were cooked by the sun, even in the half shade...However, fortunately I have another in my garden doing well...growing clippings from it successfully.
Happy with delivery Plant now growing well thanks
