Brachychiton bidwillii, also known as the Dwarf Kurrajong, is a small, deciduous tree or large shrub native to Queensland, Australia. This hardy beauty is celebrated for its spectacular display of deep pink to red bell-shaped flowers, which appear in clusters along bare branches during the warmer months, even before the leaves emerge.

Compact in size and highly drought-tolerant once established, Brachychiton bidwillii is perfect for small gardens, native landscapes, or feature planting in large pots. Its sculptural form and seasonal flower show make it a standout in any setting.

Key Features:

  • Stunning pink-red bell-shaped flowers in late spring to summer

  • Compact growth – ideal for smaller gardens or pots

  • Native Australian species, perfect for wildlife-friendly landscapes

  • Drought-tolerant and low-maintenance once established

  • Deciduous – provides winter sunlight and summer shade

Care Tips:

  • Light: Full sun is best for flowering

  • Water: Drought-tolerant; water regularly while establishing, then reduce

  • Soil: Well-draining soil; tolerates a range of soil types

  • Growth Habit: Grows 3–6m tall in ideal conditions, often smaller in cultivation

  • Maintenance: Minimal; prune to shape if needed

The succulent plant housed in the red pot comes in a 130mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, but may vary slightly because no two succulents are the same.
