Kalanchoe tomentosa 'Chocolate' is a captivating succulent known for its plush, velvety leaves edged with deep chocolate-brown markings. Native to Madagascar, this variety of the classic Panda Plant is a charming addition to any indoor collection, offering texture and subtle color variation that stands out among other succulents.

Its fuzzy, silvery-green foliage is covered in fine hairs that give it a soft, almost felt-like appearance. The contrasting chocolate edges add warmth and depth, making it a unique specimen that complements minimalist and rustic décor styles alike.

Key Characteristics:

  • Velvety, silvery-green leaves with dark chocolate margins

  • Upright, shrubby growth habit

  • Compact size, ideal for windowsills, desks, and small planters

  • Drought-tolerant and low maintenance

Care Tips:

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to full sun. A sunny windowsill is ideal.

  • Watering: Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can cause root rot.

  • Soil: Use a well-draining cactus or succulent mix.

  • Temperature: Thrives in temperatures between 15°C and 29°C. Protect from frost.

  • Humidity: Enjoys dry air; avoid high humidity environments.

  • Fertilizer: Feed sparingly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a diluted succulent fertilizer.
