Echeveria setosa v. ciliata, also known as the Firecracker Plant or Mexican Firecracker, is a charming succulent native to Mexico.

Appearance:

  • Leaves: Thick, fleshy leaves arranged in a compact rosette. The leaves are covered in fine, white hairs, giving them a fuzzy, almost furry appearance. The tips of the leaves often have a reddish or brownish hue, resembling a lit firecracker.

  • Flowers: In the spring and summer, the plant produces tall, arching stems with bell-shaped flowers in vibrant shades of red, orange, or yellow.

Growth Habits and Care:

  • Sunlight: Thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate some direct sun, especially in the morning or late afternoon.

  • Soil: Requires well-draining soil, such as a cactus or succulent mix, to prevent root rot.

  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the soil is dry, allowing it to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid getting water on the leaves.

  • Temperature: Prefers temperatures between 60-75°F (15-24°C). Protect from frost.

  • Maintenance: Minimal maintenance required, remove dead leaves and flower stalks as needed.

Additional Information:

  • Echeveria setosa v. ciliata is a relatively easy-to-care-for succulent, making it a great choice for beginners.

  • It is a popular addition to rock gardens, succulent arrangements, or as a statement piece in containers.

  • The fuzzy texture of the leaves and the vibrant colors of the flowers make it a visually appealing plant.

The succulent plant housed in the red pot comes in a 130mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, but may vary slightly because no two succulents are the same.
