Protect your precious garden with the power of nature! Plectranthus caninus, commonly known as Coleus canina or the "Scaredy Cat" plant, is a unique and versatile plant known for its pest-repelling properties. While its effectiveness is debated, many gardeners believe its strong scent helps deter cats, dogs, and other unwanted critters from their flower beds and vegetable patches.  Features:

  • Unique Aromatic Foliage: This Plectranthus variety has attractive, slightly fuzzy, gray-green leaves that release a pungent odor when brushed against or crushed. This strong scent is what is believed to deter animals.

  • Versatile Applications: It can be planted in garden beds, borders, or containers to help protect vulnerable plants from curious critters.

  • Attractive Flowers: In addition to its pest-repelling properties, 'Scaredy Cat' plant also produces lovely lavender-blue flowers, adding a touch of beauty to your garden.

  • Easy Care: This plant is low-maintenance and thrives in full sun to partial shade with well-draining soil.

Important Note: While anecdotal evidence suggests its effectiveness, there is no scientific consensus on the pest-repelling capabilities of Plectranthus caninus. It's best used as part of an integrated pest management strategy.

Care Tips:

  • Sunlight: Plant in a location that receives full sun to partial shade.

  • Water: Water regularly, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings.

  • Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix.

  • Pruning: Pinch back regularly to encourage bushier growth.

The succulent plant housed in the red pot comes in a 100mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, but may vary slightly because no two succulents are the same.
