Senecio haworthii, commonly known as Woolly Senecio or Cocoon Plant, is a striking succulent characterized by its thick, cylindrical leaves covered in dense, white, wool-like hairs. This soft, fuzzy texture gives the plant a unique silvery appearance, making it a beautiful addition to any succulent collection or garden.

Key Features:

  • Distinctive silvery-white, woolly foliage

  • Compact, upright growth habit reaching about 20-30 cm (8-12 inches) tall

  • Low-maintenance and drought-tolerant

  • Adds unique texture and contrast to succulent arrangements

Care Tips:

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight; can tolerate some direct sun but avoid harsh midday rays to prevent leaf burn.

  • Watering: Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between watering; reduce watering during winter dormancy.

  • Soil: Use well-draining cactus or succulent mix to prevent root rot.

  • Temperature: Thrives in warm temperatures; protect from frost and temperatures below 5°C (41°F).

  • Fertilizer: Feed lightly during the growing season with a balanced succulent fertilizer diluted to half strength.

  • Propagation: Easily propagated from leaf or stem cuttings.

The first three photo serves a display purpose only. The succulent plant housed in the red pot comes in a 80mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, but may vary slightly because no two succulents are the same. Plants will be shipped as bare root.
