Stapelia leendertziae, commonly known as "Black Bells," is a fascinating succulent plant known for its unique star-shaped flowers with dark, almost black, velvety petals.It is widely grown in gardens but distinctly uncommon in the wild.
Growth Habit:
Habit: Low-growing and spreading, forming dense clumps.

Stapelia leendertziae is the most striking plant especially when in flower, due to the unique, large, bell-shaped, deep reddish to dark purple flowers that are up to 12 cm long.

Flower Type: Unusual star-shaped flowers with five petals.
Color: Deep maroon to almost black, mimicking the appearance of velvet.
