Caralluma hesperidum is a fascinating succulent from the family Apocynaceae, primarily known for its striking appearance and medicinal uses. Native to the Arabian Peninsula.

Growth Habit: Caralluma hesperidum typically grows as a clumping succulent with erect or sprawling stems that can reach up to 12 inches in height.

Stem Characteristics: The stems of Caralluma hesperidum are angular with four sides, lined with small, rudimentary leaves that are more like scales than true leaves.

Flowers: One of the most remarkable features of Caralluma hesperidum is its flowers. The plant blooms from late spring to early summer.

Drought Tolerance: This plant is extremely drought-resistant, thriving on minimal water once established.

Low Maintenance: Requires very little care beyond basic succulent gardening practices, making it suitable for those new to gardening or with limited time.
