Parodia alba is a species of cactus native to Brazil, where it is found in rocky outcroppings and scrubland.

Growing:

  • It is a small, globular cactus that can reach up to 8 cm in diameter and height, with a greenish-gray body covered in white, hair-like spines.

  • In the spring, it produces small yellow or white flowers that bloom at the top of the plant.

Drought Tolerance:

  • Adapted to arid regions, Parodia Alba exhibits excellent drought tolerance.

  • Parodia alba is a popular ornamental cactus in cultivation due to its attractive appearance and ease of care.

Cultural Requirements:

  • Light: Requires full sunlight for optimal growth and flowering. Flourishes in areas with at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily.

  • Container Cultivation: Parodia Alba can be grown in containers, allowing for flexibility in placement and the ability to bring the cactus indoors during colder months.
