Oscularia deltoides, also known as the Deltoid-leaved Dewplant or Pink Ice Plant, is a captivating succulent native to the winter-rainfall regions of South Africa. This low-growing, spreading succulent forms a dense mat of triangular, blue-green leaves, creating a unique and eye-catching ground cover.
The leaves are fleshy and three-sided, with serrated edges that resemble tiny teeth. The stems and new growth often exhibit a reddish or purplish hue, adding a vibrant contrast to the cool tones of the foliage.
In the spring and early summer, Oscularia deltoides produces an abundance of small, daisy-like flowers in shades of pink or purple. These delicate blooms cover the plant.
Oscularia deltoides is a relatively low-maintenance plant that thrives in well-draining soil and full sun to partial shade. It is drought-tolerant and can withstand periods of neglect, making it an ideal choice for rock gardens, xeriscapes, or as a spiller in container arrangements.
The first two photo serves a display purpose only. The succulent plant housed in the red pot comes in a 50mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, but may vary slightly because no two succulents are the same.
