Rlc. Aria 'Topaz' is a stunning Cattleya hybrid orchid admired for its large, vibrant blooms and refined elegance. This variety produces rich, golden-yellow petals with ruffled edges and a contrasting deep red to burgundy lip, making it a true showstopper when in bloom. With its bold colour and sweet fragrance, it is perfect for collectors and display alike.

Characteristics:

• Type: Rhyncholaeliocattleya (Rlc.) hybrid orchid

• Flower size: Large, showy blooms up to 10–15 cm

• Colour: Warm golden-yellow petals with a striking red or burgundy lip

• Fragrance: Lightly to moderately fragrant

• Flowering: Typically blooms once or twice a year under ideal conditions

• Growth habit: Compact to medium-sized with upright pseudobulbs

Care Tips:

• Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal; a few hours of morning sun encourages blooming

• Watering: Water when the medium is almost dry; avoid overwatering and standing water

• Humidity: Prefers 50–70% humidity; ensure good air circulation

• Temperature: Thrives in 20–28°C during the day and slightly cooler nights

• Fertiliser: Use a balanced orchid fertiliser every 2 weeks during active growth

• Repotting: Every 1–2 years or when the potting medium breaks down
