Echeveria ‘Linguas’ is a beautifully structured succulent known for its graceful rosette of slender, pointed leaves. The name ‘Linguas’ (meaning “tongues” in Latin) reflects its long, narrow leaf shape, which curves slightly for a refined and sculptural appearance. Its foliage ranges from silvery blue-green to pale lilac, often with a soft powdery coating (farina) that gives it a frosted look.
This compact and slow-growing variety is ideal for succulent arrangements, containers, and collectors who appreciate subtle elegance.
Key Characteristics:
- Foliage: Slender, pointed leaves with a smooth, silvery-lavender tone
- Growth Habit: Tight, symmetrical rosette
- Size: Reaches 10–15 cm in diameter
- Use: Perfect for pots, succulent bowls, rock gardens, and windowsill displays
Care Tips:
- Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to full sun. Enhanced color and compact growth occur with more light.
- Watering: Water deeply but infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings to prevent root rot.
- Soil: Requires a well-draining cactus or succulent mix.
- Temperature: Thrives in temperatures between 15°C and 25°C. Protect from frost and excessive cold.
- Fertilizer: Feed sparingly during the growing season with a diluted succulent fertilizer.
- Propagation: Easily propagated through leaf cuttings or offsets.
- Maintenance: Low maintenance; remove dried lower leaves as needed.
Special Features:
- Soft pastel tones and slender form for a refined look
- Excellent in mixed succulent arrangements
- Drought-tolerant and beginner-friendly
- Adds texture and contrast to any collection
